You live in Ontario and are legally permitted to work in Canada
You are not currently enrolled in, or returning to, another education or training program
You are available to attend three weeks of full-time training
You are ready to pursue employment right after completing the program
PROGRAM BENEFITS
Approved training, materials and certifications are covered by the program for eligible participants.
Learn from instructors with current landscape and horticulture experience.
Industry-recognized training and certificates may include First Aid, WHMIS and Greenius courses, along with a GROW Program Completion Certificate.
Receive support preparing for work and connecting with employers in Landscape Ontario’s network.
Small classes with hands-on support, in real working conditions.
Continue receiving employment and career support as you transition into the industry after training.

Once the applications are open, complete the application online. The application includes a detailed assessment of your eligibility, goals, experience, employment needs and readiness to participate. Please allow enough time to complete it fully and accurately.
We review your application and confirm whether you qualify. Selected applicants meet with the GROW team to discuss their goals, availability and readiness to commit fully to the training and employment process.
Participate fully in scheduled classroom learning, hands-on training and required program activities.
Receive employment preparation and support connecting with employers looking to hire.
Complete required program follow-ups and keep the GROW team informed about your employment progress after training.

There is no training cost for eligible participants. Approved training, materials and certifications are funded through GROW.
No previous landscape or horticulture experience is required. Program eligibility requirements apply.
Participants are not paid wages for attending training. Additional participation supports may be available based on individual inquiry, program eligibility and availability.
Employment is not guaranteed. The GROW team provides employment preparation and connects participants with hiring employers through Landscape Ontario’s industry network.
