LISTEN: A conversation with Dr. Ed Gilman, author of “An Illustrated Guide to Pruning“ (The Plant a Trillion Trees Podcast)

The purpose of The Plant a Trillion Trees Podcast is to encourage tree planting and proper tree care for our urban forest which includes neighborhoods, parks, and other open spaces. Additionally, the hosts - Eva and Hal, who are certified arborists through the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) - cover the importance of already established trees and their benefits.

In this episode, Eva and Hal speak to Dr. Ed Gilman, a professor emeritus from the University of Florida and a principal at Wood Architecture Inc. His 35 years in academia and the green industry have led him to write the An Illustrated Guide to Pruning, which is now in its third edition. Ed’s published works over his 35 years in academia include more than 120 scientific peer-reviewed journal articles on roots, tree planting, and tree pruning.
