Each year, GROW prepares over 150 new workers for the landscape and horticulture workforce.
Landscape Ontario designed GROW Training for New Workers to increase the landscape and horticulture workforce in Ontario. The program provides training designed to prepare new workers for their first jobs in the industry.
Participants train in real-world conditions using the industry's most common tools and equipment as they learn in-demand skills and techniques from today's industry professionals.
We know that on the job site, safety is your top priority. That’s why all participants receive industry-standard safety training including WHMIS, CPR and First Aid and CSA-certified personal protective equipment.
New for 2024/25: Qualified employers can receive a wage subsidy of up to 50% from the first month when they hire GROW New Worker graduates.

Grow your business from within with GROW Career Advancement Program.
GROW works with you to create a training plan to help your staff member reach their full potential within your organization. Choose from sector plans or customize your own including external training and certifications.
As part of this FREE program, GROW provides each approved participant a budget of up to $2000 for training and certification costs.
Eligible employers can nominate up to 5 staff from their company to receive an individual training plan and budget.
