VOLUNTEER: Toronto Green Street Challenge (Yonge & Dundas, Aug 21)


Sunday, August 21 @ 8:15AM - 3:00PM*

VOLUNTEER TO CREATE A GREEN STREET (POP-UP PARK) IN DOWNTOWN TORONTO!

The Toronto Green Street is part of the larger Open Streets TO festival and is taking place on Sunday August 21st. This is a fun opportunity to help build a pop up park downtown Toronto for hundreds to thousands of people to enjoy!

We will be meeting on Yonge Street just north of Dundas Square at 8:15AM. We will be rolling out and rolling up sod, so please wear closed toed shoes. We will have t-shirts for all volunteers and will be providing lunch at 12:00PM.

Here is a schedule:

8:15AM - 10:00AM … Roll out sod and set up for Green Street Pop-up Park

10:00AM - 1:45PM … Free time / Enjoy the Open Streets festival with family and friends (runs for 2km along Yonge from Bloor to Queen)

12:00PM … Free lunch for all volunteers at the Green Street Challenge

1:45PM - 3:00PM …Roll up sod

*You are welcome to volunteer for the whole day (8:15AM-3:00PM) or commit to either the morning (8:15AM-10:00AM) or afternoon (1:45PM-3:00PM) shifts.
