What is your role in the GROW Program?
Employment Specialist for the GROW New Entrant Training Program
What do you like most about your role?
I love my job! My favourite part has to be seeing our GROW grads enter the workforce with great-fit employers. It's just one of MANY steps in the career journey, I know, but it's a great one! Knowing that our grads are out there in real jobs doing work that matters to them, is just such a joy.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Outside of work, I'm pretty low-key. I really enjoy nature walking/swimming with my 2 dogs, bingeing Netflix, or exploring my city's incredible food scene!
What is your favourite plant?
It’s hard to pick just one, but I do love a good Monstera deliciosa (Swiss cheese plant) when the leaves are beautifully fenestrated. Watching the new baby leaves unfurl is so fun!
What is a plant that you would like to GROW?
I think the next plant I'd like to GROW is a Tree Peony! I learned about them a little late in the season this year, but next year I'll be on the hunt.
